Our Story
It all started with a Chicken Parmigania. Have you ever watched someone order $30 worth of food, take a nibble, and refuse to eat the rest claiming that they're "full"? It was at this moment Adam knew he would be the one to get full value from Emily's meals, on a more permenant basis. Despite growing up a mere 15 minute walk from one another, it wouldn't be until we made our journeys 400km West to Condobolin that we would find each other. And what a finding that has been...
We met in 2022 (officially) as teachers at Condobolin High School, bonding over a mutual love of music and dachshunds…by early 2023, Adam asked Emily to move in with him (she’d basically been living with him anyway) and the eternal debate over “what are we having for dinner” and “who is feeding the dogs” began.
We have had many adventures including various road trips where Emily enjoys passenger princess privileges, “pawrenting” our mini dachshund Mae and Wilson (trust us, this is a full time job), an incredible September 2024 Europe and Vietnam trip, and competing (and losing) in many bate family competitions (who have welcomed Adam, and his family, with open arms from the very start).
